Aside from Saturday's Bocce Ball fiasco, I did other things as well worth mentioning. I'm sure you're all dying to know, right?
Friday - we met up with Ian and Katie for dinner at Sushi Sono. We happened to pick a night that was the same night as some weird street festival thing. It was crowded but we were provided with some entertainment in the form of a bootcamp fitness tent outside of the restaurant. They "challenged" people to do 40 pushups to get a t-shirt. Sounds ridiculous, right? I mean - who wants to spend a Friday night, in the heat, doing pushups in front of a large group of people? A LOT OF GUYS DO. Actually, a lot of DADS do. It was hilarious.
One guy actually emptied his pocket of 2 cell phones, a wallets and 3 sets of keys like they were really "weighing him down" and he couldn't do it. I begged The Mr. to give it a shot but he wouldn't.
There were a few young moms that did it. One mom was screaming towards the end. It was a bit frightening but she was very proud of her t-shirt.
Dinner was delightful although The Mr. HATED his meal. Katie and Ian - we should do this more often and not wait 2 years!
Saturday was the bocce ball fiasco and between going the game and the bar - we went home where I received a letter from the Graduate School I applied to. I was accepted! Immediate thoughts?
1. Whoo hoo!
2. Crap - this means I have to follow through now.
3. Holy crap - what did I get myself into?
4. AAAHH!
So - I'm in and I just accepted their admission and signed up for orientation. I feel like such a turd. Ryan had to hold my hand through everything. And I have to fill out an immunization form? I went there for undergrad - shouldn't they have this information? Ugh. And I have to find an advisor and sign up for class and my god... I feel 18 again.
Sunday was just another day to run errands and we got to enjoy some pool time with Traci and Mike. FYI for those that live in the area - this pool does not check for passes. I repeat - this pool does not check for passes. I think we've found a pool!
How was everyone's weekend? What are everyone's plans for the 4th? In case you're wondering what I'm doing... I get to mow my parents' lawn! And then we're going to the annual Beer and Fireworks party at Rob's. Whoo!

How could the Mr HATE his meal!?!?! I don't understand? I've never heard ANYONE hating Sushi Sono!! I'm sorry, but I kinda take comments like this personally. The staff there all know me (most by name...others by reputation) :) Well, I'm sorry he had a bad dinner, there's a first time for everthing.
Congats on Grad School!! You'll do fine.
My plans for the fourth include: Hanging in C'ville for parents BBQ and parade...then heading to B-More for fireworks. My friend Cindy is spending the day with me before she leaves for San Fran later this week. :-(
i'm with jamie on this one. how could anyone hate the food at sushi sono ... it's SO good. especially the crispy snowball. mmmm. we'll hafta go with him and show him what to eat.
also, congrats on grad school! that's so fun. it'll be weird at first, maybe even scary, but to mirror jamie again, you'll do fine.
and yes ... mr. norris is scary, but SUCH a great actor. i wish he was my dad.
