Jam Packed Weekend

I have to say - since taking the training course I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I said was useless... I've become really task-oriented. If I write it down, I must carry out the task or I really beat myself up about it. Its weird. And I'm in a hurry a lot.

I guess its a good thing that I'm not forgetting as much anymore. I finally paid my tuition (whoopsie) and did some other things but I totally forgot to give Kristin my UMBC planner (I mean really... how many planners do I need?!) and forgot to pick up some smaller sized screws for the paper towel holder. And yes, I'm beating myself up about these things. I hate not being able to check off items.

Anywho - I feel like I was pretty productive this weekend. We didn't really go out at all because we were dog-sitting for Traci and Mike. They have a 3 month old puppy Pug named Sophie. Super cute. Super BAD. Actually, as The Mr. pointed out - we probably thought the dog was super bad because it wasn't OURS.

Sophie pooped in the house once, peed on the couch, the dog carseat (it was sitting in the house) and on the floor... with no warning! I've never had a puppy so I kind of take for granted that idea of a dog signaling it needs to go to the bathroom. Sophie also chewed EVERYTHING, knocked over the coat rack (and it broke) and bit me in the crotch. You read that correctly - she bit me in the crotch! But she is super cute and only 3 months old so you really can't hold it against her. Traci - don't worry, we'll watch Sophie again if you need us to!

Sophie was also chock full of energy ALWAYS. It was pretty funny since she was getting on Petie and Emily's nerves. We'd take them on a long walk and our dogs would be pooped - but Sophie would want to play and she swatted them in the face a few times. They were definitely like, "grr... leave me alone..." It was very cute. I wish I took a picture of the 3 of them playing!

Aside from the weekend of dog playing, I also took a scrapbooking class with Kristin. I was kind of poking fun at the idea but strangely - its a lot of fun! It makes you feel productive although I don't think I'll ever make it a hobby. That shit is EXPENSIVE! Have you ever been in a scrapbooking store?! I made 3 layouts and have no idea what I'm going to do with them but I'm proud of myself. Although they were just exact copies. Oh well! It helped.

Yesterday we went to the Maryland State Fair where Maryland's finest was in attendance. But I got to eat funnel cake (I'd seriously drive to the end of the Earth for some funnel cake) and lots of other junk food. Again - no pictures. I'm seriously regretting that! We also checked out the livestock where they had a "birthing center" and you could milk a cow. It smelled really bad in there, and it felt really weird to watch a pig give birth. I mean, can you imagine giving birth in the center of some stands where the seats are filled with a bunch of strangers staring at you? It felt wrong so I didn't stay long.

Anywho - this isn't the most interesting post... so tell me about your weekend?

OMG...these planners are totally going to make you OCD...well I guess you were always a little OCD anyway, but now you'll have a planner to prove it!! :)

Scrap booking looks nice when it's done well, I hear that it can be really expensive. My aunt does it and she must have 20 pairs of scissors...come on, how many scissors do you really need?!?!

I honestly don't get the whole scrapbooking craze. It just seems like a whole helluva lot of work to me. But then again, putting photos into an album is a lot of work for me. hahahaha!
