Not a Weekend Recap

Okay - I could recap the weekend but I won't because I forgot to upload pictures. The Mr. and I spent the weekend tiling our kitchen floor. I have never felt so f'n handy in my life! My entire body hurts and my right hand is covered in band-aids. But dammit - our kitchen looks good! We still need to grout and I'm totally dreading it but eh... at least the kitchen is done!

So, since I don't have those pictures to post and not much else to talk about - I'm going to post some pictures from our dinner with Katie and Ian. Katie - I hope you don't mind since I didn't send these to you first but they made me laugh.

We went to eat at the Bombay Club in DC and it was delicious. I hadn't had Indian food in quite some time and I have to say that it was nice that someone remembered that I was a vegetarian (there's a story about that unrelated to this story... and no matter how many times The Mr. defends people not being "used" to my new lifestyle, I don't think there's an excuse for inviting me over for dinner only to serve STEAK. I know you remember!).

Picture time!

First, since I'm posting a hodge podge of pics, here is a picture of my kitchen pre-new floor but post-new backsplash.
With the flash on:

With the flash off (just to show the difference... and its crooked because we have this piece screwed into the bottom of the camera for the gorillapod tripod thingamabob):

Now onto dinner. We all got delicious starters, and then Katie was served this:

I don't even remember if she ate it but hello?? Would you?

Then we played the emotions game. Here they just won the lotto. Ian looks more confused than happy/surprised:

And here they're angry. Ian looks more sad than angry. Was he playing this game right? Or maybe this was sad and Katie isn't playing correctly. Who knows! That's what is so great about this game. I highly encourage everyone to play and yes, someone will always yell, "horny!" as an emotion.

How was everyone else's weekend?

hmm, nothing like getting a severed penis as part of your meal. mmm, mmm good.

my weekend was uneventful which, lately, is a complete blessing. i'm avoiding going out the clubs to save money before i move and by not going out, i'm saving $80-$100 a week (drinks and dinner afterward). so, that's it.

You forgot to warn us that Kate's starter may not be safe for work. ;)

I don't know if I could eat a meal that was served to me looking like that. LOL!!

Went to Cedar Point with Jamie and Tom on Saturday and got back last night. Check out my blog for a fuller story. :-)
