Your Santa did What?!

Okay, sorry for the short post but this is just a quick poll to my loyal readers. For those of you who celebrate Christmas (sorry to exclude you my jewish pals), did the gifts you received from Santa come wrapped?

I know, its a random question. At the office holiday luncheon, the topic of wrapping gifts from Santa came up and I mentioned that all of my gifts were wrapped. If it was from Santa, the card simply said "From: Santa". That's it. Everyone looked at my like my parents have misled me for years! Apparently nobody 'round these parts wraps their gifts for their kids if they're from Santa.

I felt like I was taking crazy pills!

I confirmed with The Mr that his folks did, indeed, wrap gifts from Santa. They took it up a notch and wrapped it in different wrapping paper but they were still wrapped.

Perhaps I should blame all of my life problems on the fact that my parents incorrectly tried to deceive me about a fat man breaking into our house and leaving presents.

What did your Santa do?

my santa wrapped gifts!! what kind of lazy ass santa just drops shit under the tree?

You must work with people who have santa give gifts of trips to Europe or homes in the Andes.

No wrapping. What a bunch of bullcrap. Why stop there? Maybe the easter bunny should just shit on your floor.

santa wrapped most of our gifts too - also in different paper with disguised handwriting. mom still does it, apparently i will always be 7 in her eyes.
if there was a big family gift like when we got marble madness, it was constructed and set up but not wrapped.

Santa wrapped my gifts and he ate the cookies I left out for him. I still get gifts that say "From: Santa" on them. What the hell is wrong with your co-workers?

My Santa gifts were wrapped! In their own special paper and my mom would write the cards terribly so that we didn't recognize the handwriting. I would leave out a carrot for the reindeer and she or my Dad would knaw at it to make it look like reindeer teeth, would drink the milk and cookies but leave crumbs!

Even Puerto Rican Santa wrapped presents. Although, I never left milk and cookies for Santa but that's because my Dad told me Santa would leave better presents if I left him rum and morcillas (sausage).

Hmmm...I think our larger gifts from Santa were wrapped while the stuff in our stockings weren't.

Santa always wrapped our presents, but I could tell that he had my mom write, "from Santa" on the tags.

However, my proletariate wife's family's Santa did not wrap presents and now Santa does not wrap presents for our kids.

i'm with nanette on this one. santa wrapped the gifts he left under the tree ... always in wrapping paper that could NOT be found anywhere else in the house ... a secret santa stash, if you will, so it couldn't be traced back to my father or grandparents. the stocking stuffers were always left unwrapped and peeking out the top so we could see them immediately.

i miss those days ... the days of believing in santa ... your co-workers are grinches .. the whole lot of them!

My santa totally wrapped, and I didn't even know about the non-wrapping thing until a couple years ago.

santa wrapped the gifts but, like a few others, it was in different paper. some of my stocking stuffers were wrapped too depending on what the gift was.

My Santa wrapped ALL of our gifts - for 4 kids - including stocking stuffers. All in different paper than the presents from Mom and Dad.

I can't imagine Santa NOT wrapping presents.

Santa's gifts usually required tools to put them together and they had to be put together in Santa's workshop (aka Dad) before being delivered. Therefore they weren't wrapped.

There were the occasional gifts that were wrapped from Santa, but the cool stuff was not wrapped. Santa always ate all the cookies and I"m pretty certain the milk got poured down the drain. Happy Holidays! :)

Found you through NannersP and had to comment on this! Santa did not wrap gifts in our house, which is fine but I always thought that Santa brought an awful lot of our gifts. Once I got a little older, I realized that my mother HATES to wrap presents and that was her way of getting out of it. We give her a hard time about it to make sure we get some wrapped presents because ripping off the paper is the best part! Thanks for letting me share :o)

My Santa was like The Mr's...she wrapped them in different paper than my folks and it was just labeled..."From Santa"

I'm 32 and still get presents from Santa :)
