So, yesterday I got a forwarded "warning" about the "real" Barack Obama. It was hysterical. I'm not trying to get into a political debate but the following things cracked me up:
(1) Typos! If you're sending off this urgent e-mail, at least double check your typos... or misspellings if that's what they were.
(2) The use of CAPS to emphasize points. Hysterical when you read it out loud.
(3) The fact that anyone believes that forwarded e-mails are the best way to "sway voters".
(4) Snopes.com was the cited source of information. really? Snopes? Isn't that the site that explores urban myths? Is Barack an urban myth? Did I miss something?
Anywho - without further ado (and this is copied and pasted as I received it):

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school."
Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is not a radical.
Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.
Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.
Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim
background.
ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.
Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegience nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.
The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!!

Perhaps it was inappropriate of me to laugh so hard at this e-mail and mock it like I did last night with The Mr. But come on! The use of CAPS on words like ATHEIST killed me.
It also scares me that there are probably people out there who ARE convinced through silly e-mails about what is fact vs embellishments. Yowza.

thank you!! forwards like this get me too. i especially like the ones that are about praying for certain candidates or supporting super conservative viewpoints. i mean hello?? do these people know me at all?

OHHHH! The ATHEISTS and the MUSLIMS!
And he definately needs prayer since his awful mother and father divorced and then his awful mother had the nerve to remarry someone SHE LOVES. Shame on him, he should never be president for these very reasons.

The whole forward thing has gotten out of hand. I have a rule that sends any email with FWD in the subject to a separate folder that OCCASSIONALLY go through :)
wow ... i'm DEFINITELY not voting for HIM now after THAT email. THAT email was VERY CONVINCING! how on EARTH could ANYONE vote for SOMEONE like him?! it CONFOUNDS me. i just cut and paste that and FORWARDED it to 20 people so my GENITALS don't ROT!
