My Ever Changing Top 5

Katie posted about having a "Top 5" List of celebrities she's into and I think a lot of people have one. Perhaps its not really a top 5... maybe its just a top 3 or just a top 1. Who knows.

I have a list but its constantly shifting. I can't help it. Sometimes the media gets oversaturated with the same celebs and you just crave something/someone new. With that said...

I'm currently reading Pride & Prejudice. Its only taken me 15 years to pick it back up and it was a little difficult to get through at first. For me - I had just finished reading Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking which was written in the 2000s and I shifted to reading a book in old English from the 1700s. Not an easy task.

But after getting through the first few chapters, I found myself completely engrossed in it. Although I'm pretty sure had I not seen the movie, I probably wouldn't be able to follow it as well. There are too many names! Mr. Darcy, Mr. Wickham, Mr. Bingley, Mr. Gardiner, Mr. Collins, Mr. Forster, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Rogers (okay, he's not in the story but he might as well have been). I also watched Becoming Jane last night (and I cried a little). Ugh - I'm so into this crap right now. And I want to watch that movie about the Jane Austen book club. Christ - I want to join a Jane Austen book club!

I enjoyed Becoming Jane and recommend it to those that are into romantic period pieces.

Anywho - back to the title of the post. Since watching Becoming Jane, I have decided to forgive James McAvoy for his role in the Chronicles of Narnia and he's secured a spot in my Top 5.

I loved him in the King of Scotland, I'm sure he's marvelous in Atonement and he made me want to run away with him in Becoming Jane. Plus he's got an accent. My list is overflowing with dudes with accents: Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom, Daniel Day-Lewis (that's for you Theresa!), Justin Timberlake (okay, maybe he doesn't have an accent... WHATEVER)...

Anyways, I guess I'm getting sappy this week and its not because of Valentine's Day. I blame Jane Austen.

I've been in this random book kick, and really have had the need to go back and read classics that I was either forced to read and didn't want to at the time, or that I just never read!

I spent yesterday trying to find a good list of the top classics, but I don't think I've found a list I feel are the true classics that I was thinking of!
