Bad Wedding Pictures

I have been looking forward to tomorrow for along time now. If any of you look at my "Calendar of Events" (and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you didn't) - you'll see that I will be trashing my wedding dress with the fabulously talented Maria and her hubby Drew. Oh and The Mr will be there too.

I've said over and over again that if Maria and Drew were shooting weddings last year, I would have hired them in a heartbeat. Seriously - if you're getting married in the Baltimore/DC area, check them out. Do it. NOW! I'm not joking.

I busted my wedding dress out of it's garment bag earlier this week and it was the first time in over a year I had taken it out of the bag. Amazingly it was not wrinkled although its still bustled so perhaps if I undid that it would be a different story. I'm pretty sure that the dress still fits although I didn't try it on. But my weight hasn't changed. If anything my boobs might have shrunk a bit but that's just because God hates me. But I can buy cutlets to fix that.

I've been communicating with Maria for awhile now and she had asked to see my professional wedding pictures. I hadn't looked at them in awhile so uploading them got me feeling all nostalgic. It also reminded me that I didn't really like my pictures. I mean, the guy did an okay job and I think the wedding album layout is amazing, but the overall look I really wanted wasn't captured. I wanted more candids and the photographer was more pose-oriented. We made the best of it with ridiculous faces and poses but still... I was a bit disappointed. I'm also irritated that they haven't posted my album online! They promised that to us a year ago. I e-mailed the photographer who said he was "looking into it" the other day but still haven't heard a thing. But I digress...

And Angie - this isn't meant to make you feel bad (this was her photographer) because in the end the photographer was a great deal of help during the korean ceremony we performed. The ladies hired to "walk us through" the ceremony were not very helpful (they just kind of pulled us up and pushed us down to bow) so the photographer explained most of what we were to do. For that, I was happy to have him.

So looking back on the pictures, I noticed a lot of ridiculous ones and of course I have to share them. This is a long picture post so I hope you're ridiculously bored right now.

Me without makeup. Where are my eyes?! I'm so asian in this picture.

Okay so this isn't a ridiculous picture but I'm just showing the difference between me with makeup and without. And it's also why false eyelashes are among the greatest inventions next to electricity and antibiotics. It's also why I'm getting a "makeup consultation" tomorrow at Sephora. I can't recreate that look.

Strangely, this didn't make the final album. I love this picture. My stomach and intestines get a little gurgly when I'm nervous. I had to take preventative measures. The videographer also filmed Theresa reading the directions from the box. Again - it didn't make it to the final version of the DVD. What the hell?

Theresa is a lush.

Man, so is Suzanne. I think I'm just watching her like, "Wow, you really chugged that class of wine."

These next series of photos are what I like to call, "OMG, [The Mr], can you believe..." because I look like I'm just talking a mile a minute and he's not saying a word.

This was after a smooching picture and I had just wiped my lipstick off of The Mr's lips.

Alright... last series for today. This one makes me laugh because my face indicates that I want the photographer to leave us alone but he won't so I'm standing perfectly still as if my lack of movement will make him go away.

Why is he still here? Maybe if we stand perfectly still he'll go away...

Oh crap - he wants us to pose? I'm uncomfortable. What are we supposed to do? I guess just kiss or something, right?

I realize I have a lot of ridiculous pictures. Perhaps this will get me through at least 5 more posts. Sweet!

Have a great weekend everyone!
