Mamma Mia...

I finally saw Mamma Mia this weekend and it...

... made me want to move to Greece.

... made me wish my life was a musical.

... made me wonder where this magical island of ridiculously hot, young attractive men is located.

... reinstated my love of ABBA.

... thankfully stuck closely to the original stage production.

... made me want to start a girl group.

... made me want to buy huge platform boots.

... shows that people don't sing Waterloo nearly as much as they should.

I'm trying to convince the husband to take me to see this! We saw it on Broadway, but I think that was enough for him!

I'm so glad you liked it!! I'm an American living in Sweden and wasn't all that into Abba when I moved here in 1989. But as I've learned the story behind Abba, etc., I'm also nuts about 'em.

We're going to see the stage show in Stockholm in a couple of weeks, and I can imagine the audience being VERY engaged, so, should be lots of fun.

But the movie made me proud. It was SO cool to see the actors step outside their comfort zones and sing, and I think they did a good job!

We go to the gym with one of the guys in the 'band' with Abba when they did their concert touring all those years ago. Can't WAIT to ask him what he thought of the movie, when he's back from vacation! :)

I was worried at first I was going to hate it, but oh my god. I laughed so hard through the whole thing and was dancing.... I wish I'd seen the stage production!!!

Oh my gosh. It was so awesome! I was so worried - and I still have issues with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, but how awesome was "Does Your Mother Know?" SOOOO RAD! Ok, done geeking out now.
