Thanks

I have to say, I loved some of the new blog name suggestions! Thank you!

Some of my favorites were: Don't Twink and Drive and Bitchin' in Baltimore. That is so me. But because I am trying to shed my anonymity, I need to do away with the whole "Twink" thing. And if any of you know what "Twink" references, it was probably an inappropriate nickname for me.

For the record, my nickname was Twinkie as in "yellow on the outside, white on the inside" but I shortened it to Twink because it just worked better with Mrs. But Twink translated to "young, gay man". Who knew? I didn't.

Regardless, I plan on sharing my new blog with my family (this include in-laws). My keeping it from them apparently caused a lot of heartburn with The Mr only because of the problems that arose from the last blogging incident. Soo… with that said, I think I've settled on a new blog name:

Charm City Kim

Yes, it's kind of lacking in wit but it's simple, it's true and it's something I can share with everyone. With this blog, I'm also trying to promote certain family members of mine to keep in better touch with me or at least feel some sort of connection with me. We'll see how this goes. But I promise not to stop the poop/fart talk because if I did that, I really wouldn't be writing as myself, now would I?

Once that blog goes up, I'm killing off this blog. Don't worry - I'll give plenty of notice.

But I've only dabbled in wordpress a few times. Any bloggers out there that have jumped ship from blogger to wordpress? Any challenges? Benefits? Things I should prepare myself for?

Also while I'm at it - how's everyone been doing? I've been a bad blogger in terms of catching up with everyone so fill me in!

I use blogger for my personal blog and wordpress for my food blog. I like both but at first since I was comfortable with the blogger format. The thing I had the hardest time with was figuring out how to put pictures in. I would recommend keeping up the blogger address until you completely decide to convert to wordpress. I think wordpress is a bit easier to navigate once you get use to it though. If you get lost, feel free to email me!

Oh! I forgot this. You can also take all your posts from here or any other blog into wordpress. You can keep or delete anything you wouldn't want anyone (family) to see that you posted here.

What's up with the lack of shout-out to the person who gave you the new blog name??? I tell you I get no respect.
