I Want That!

I am a salesperson's dream customer. I am easily persuaded to buy lots of needless things just because I'm told I need it. I cannot watch the Home Shopping Network or I'd be in serious financial trouble (especially since its timed - my god, I would DIE "Oh no! There's only 5 minutes left... I HAVE to have that unicorn ash tray before its sold out").

On my current list of things I want are the the following:
The Fit Flop

Every step you take while wearing FitFlops helps tone and trim your thighs, calves and glutes via a uniquely built multi-density midsole. In fact, they’re engineered to absorb shock and lessen joint strain with a powerful new built-in micro-wobbleboard workout-enhancing effect. We predict these buzzed-about shoes will sell out quick—so ‘flop’ to it and pre-order yours now!

Oh no! Its selling out? I have to have it!

Perfectil Triple Active Beauty Nutrition Tablets

Certain nutrients are vital to help maintain healthy looking skin, hair and nails in both women and men. Their effect is of greater importance than even the most expensive creams and conditioners because they are delivered via the bloodstream, at the very deepest level. Perfectil® is designed to complement your daily skin and hair care routine with a range of over 20 micronutrients specially formulated for utilization by nails, hair follicles and the skin's lower dermal layer. By understanding how specific vitamins and minerals work together, Perfectil®'s synergistic formula works to maximize their combined effect. Because your skin, hair and nails are really nourished from the inside.

I've actually read good reviews on this product but seriously... why do I need it? Because I just do!

Trash the Dress

I'm the first person to point out just how absurd weddings have gotten (I'm still paying for my own!) but have become obsessed with this new trend. I scoff at "boudoir pictures" but the idea of taking a dress that I spent WAAY too much money on and totally ruining it? Sign me up! The photos looks so carefree and fun and honestly... for the amount of money I shelled out for my dress that I only planned on wearing once (unless you count my claims of wearing it on all anniversaries, birthdays and holidays) - the idea of getting another chance to take fab photos in unexpected places just makes my heart flutter. I work with a wedding photographer (he does it on the side) who said he'd do a session with me (for free!). Today he left a sticky note on my desk that said:
Trash Dress Ideas:
1. A carnival?
2. Big trees, water - you in tree, in water, etc.

Could I possibly milk anymore out of my wedding? That reminds me of something else that I'll blog about tomorrow.

And since we're on the topic, here are more pictures from my wedding:
An artsy fartsy view of the back of my head.

An artsy fartsy view of the back of Suzanne's head.

This was totally staged and I have no idea why I'm holding my arms out like that. Oh right! Its because I had them ON MY BOOBS! Its instinct for me to hold my boobs when I'm trying to hold a strapless dress up because god forbid my tiny breasts not find their way into the right spot. The whole look would be ruined! So, the photographer instructed me to put my arms down but I still felt a little weird. It looks like I'm airing out my armpits.

Apparently this necklace is a source of confusion for me.

I want those flip flops, too! Apparently there's a big shortage in my area.

And while I think trash-the-dress sessions look cool, it pains me to see gorgeous dresses ruined like that. I didn't start to feel that way until after I donated my dress to a breast cancer charity, though. (But like I said, the pics still look really cool.)

ooh, flip flops that make you thin? sign me up! now all i'll need is a thong that manscapes while i wear it (manscaping, for the uninitiated, means trimming ... down there.)

i love the 'trash the dress' idea. that sounds like so much fun! granted, you shelled out big bucks for the dress, but seriously, for the sake of argument, if you were to--hypothetically--ever be in a situation where you needed a wedding dress ... would you wear the same one? that's just tacky! i say go for it, girl! i'm sure you'll get some great photos to share with everyone and fun memories of the experience.

Carnival would be fun and FYI, Glen Burnie Carnival is July 27-Aug 2. Doesn't get much trashier than that! :)

i htink i'll probably donate my dress although that has no judgment on anyone who chooses not to. i just think about how so many women don't have the money but they deserve to look pretty too.
