Yesterday was VERY cloudy, VERY cold and by the time we could synch up... it was getting dark. Ian & Katie were serious troopers because The Mr and I had to switch off a few times because our hands were numb. NUMB. Katie powered through without her coat. I'd die. I hate the cold. I'm cold just thinking about how cold I was yesterday.
So, through the power of Photoshop (seriously, how much can I talk about my love of this product? Adobe, you should be sending me gifts) - we were able to take the overcast photos and make them look decent. What do you think? These were my favorite pictures (the before Photoshop and after):

Seriously, I love this shit.

Love these! Actually I wouldn've have cared had you posted them before we saw them! I am about to update our website with them:)
I love overcast days :-)
I am quite impressed with these new skills!!! You guys did a fantastic job!
Awww, very nice! Those came out great, although I must admit that I like the mosaic wall picture before the Photoshopping action. I think it washes out their hair and skin a bit, but that's just one person's opinion. :)
aww, so cute!! the second one is my fav :-) nice b&w conversion!
Thanks everyone!
And please feel free to leave feedback, positive or negative. I put this stuff up for critique! I'm still learning so I really do welcome all suggestions/comments. Its the only way I'll grow. While reading books/tutorials is helpful, I have the attention span of an elementary school kid (and that's why I love reading Smack's blog!) so I like just being told what's good and what I really need to work on.
But let's not try to hurt my feelings. Don't be a turd. :)
Love the photos-- I don't think you needed to photoshop them though-- they looked great to begin with!
Nice work on the pictures. I'm going to start coming to you for help with photoshop.
Here's my suggestion - Look at pictures 7 & 8. I'd go with the "before" picture. There's more contrast with the background in that one. The "after photoshop" pic is a little dull compared to the "before".
My 2 cents. :)
Very nice!
Also, I have to tell you in response to your comment over at my place... oh my god we are so alike. Seriously, I think we should start a paranoia support group. You in?
You're becoming quite the budding photographer! YAY!!
I agree with Nanette -- I like the first mosaic pic better than the photoshopped version.
Once again proving that photgraphic tendencies are engrained in the Asian DNA. It's science.
Well done, Kim. You're making your ancestors proud.
Hawt!
ahhhh...you need a real flash and some lessons on shooting in Manual Mode...I wonder who could show you this...and who might have a flash you could buy now that they are done with weddings....hmmmm
