I can't remember the last time I worked on Christmas Eve. Actually, since Xmas eve falls on a Monday this year, I'd say I worked it 3 years ago? Maybe...? But its a wasteland around my office today. I think I'm the only one in my section of the building. Its weird. I imagine this is what its like for people who don't remember to adjust their clocks during Daylight Savings and end up doing stuff an hour earlier than everyone else.
Anywho - the Mr and I saw
Juno this weekend.

I know we're late on this one too and I'm sure everyone has read nothing but praises... so there really isn't anything new for me to add. This movie was fantastic. The biggest highlight for me was when Jason Bateman played a song from one of the best albums EVER:
If I Were a Carpenter
I haven't heard this since I was a freshman in high school but I remember jamming to this with Carrie. It contains one of the best covers I've heard... Sonic Youth's "Superstar". When it came on, I almost peed my pants with excitement.
But seriously - if you haven't yet, this movie is definitely worth checking out. It's funny, witty, cute, heart-warming, blah blah blah. I was a little disappointed that there were no scenes between Jason Bateman and Michael Cera (hello Arrested Development!) but its still good nonetheless.
And then that got me thinking... some of the best shows on Television are those that don't last very long. It's sad when you think about it especially whent craptacular shows stay on FOREVER. Some of the most underrated short-lived TV shows that I loved are:
- Freaks & Geeks
- My So-Called Life
- Arrested Development
- Get a Life
I can't think of anything else at the moment, can you?
And Merry Christmas! Perhaps I should have made this post more holiday-esque. Nah.
