My Blood is Boiling

I'm at home today, on this fine Friday morning. Why? Because we're supposed to get hardwood floors put on our stairs and upstairs hallway. After the living/dining room fiasco, The Mr. realized that he should probably NOT try to do the stairs himself.

When we purchased all of the flooring from Lumber Liquidators, we asked them if they had a list of contractors that they recommend. And they did! The Mr. called 2 companies only to not get any call-backs and then went for this other company. The guy called back and promptly showed up over the weekend to give an estimate. Things were looking good... that is, until we gave me a deposit and have tried to schedule an actual installation date!

He hardly returns phone calls and just seems overall flaky. So, he was SUPPOSED to come out Monday. It worked out well because The Mr. felt like crap and ended up staying home anyways. Floor guy called Monday morning to say that his house was broken into and that he would not be able to make it out that day.

My blood temperature rose just a little.

He told The Mr. that he'd call on Wednesday to reschedule. Now one of us had to take an actual vacation day to be home because this guy only does weekdays.

My blood temp is rising a little more.

So, the guy said he was available THIS Friday. Based on the number of days left, I was the winner who got to take the day off. I know I shouldn't complain about being home but I HATE wasting days off. I hate feeling trapped in my own home waiting on a service person to come by. Its such a waste.

He told The Mr. he'd be by between 8:30-9am. Its not 10:15 and he's still not here. I tried calling but it quickly went to some ominous voicemail.

Blood is starting to boil.

If this motherf'er doesn't come by at all, I will FIND him and I will promptly punch him in the face and in the nuts for wasting my time.

I.am.so.mad.

On a lighter note - this weekend is the Baltimore Book Festival and I found out that Tim Gunn will be at the event on Sunday to discuss his book. For those of you who don't know... I LOVE TIM GUNN! Love him. I want to hug him. I want to tell him that he brightens my day whenever I watch his show or see him doing an appearance on TV (on Martha Stewart, Live with Regis & Kelly...).

I need to go out and buy this book!

And would it be completely dorky to ask him to write, "Make it Work, Mrs Twink!"?

What are your weekend plans?

If that guy knows what's good for him he'll show up! I've seen you when you're mad...it's SCARY!!! :)

I don't have any plans this weekend. Tonight I'm staying in and cleaning the house. Tomorrow I may do some shopping, then go to Hippo for a bit. Sunday I'll probably just watch the Ravens game with some friends
