Enjoy!
If I could change one thing in...
1992, I would have...
Worn smaller glasses. The photos still traumatize me.
1993, I would have...
Not gone out with the nerd that I went out with. Granted - I was 13 so it mainly consisted of hand-holding and hugs but still. Its embarrassing to admit sometimes.
1994, I would have...
Applied myself more in school, instilled better study habits and gotten better grades. Who would have known that it would have helped me in the future with scholarships and stuff.
1995, I would have...
Not started partying so much. I still blame the next few years on some of my shortcomings today.
1996, I would have...
Been a better driver! I think this first year of driving sealed my need for speed, aggression and road rage forever.
1997, I would have...
Started learning the values of saving money. I had a job but I didn't save any of it. Instead it all went towards clothing... although I did end up winning "Best Dressed" of the class of 98! Whoo!
1998, I would have...
Never cut my hair as short as I did. I cut my hair into a cute bob when I was a junior in high school and looked fab. For whatever reason, I lost my mind and chopped it even shorter. I ended up looking like an asian Janet from Three's Company.

1999, I would have...
Realized what I wanted to do in life and started taking the appropriate courses sooner. I could have shaved off an extra semester.
2000, I would have...
Stayed away from Taco Bell. This was the year I moved out on my own and developed the WORST eating habits. These habits would lead to my gaining 20 lbs in college and I still blame my junk food cravings on this time in my life. Stupid Taco Bell!
2001, I would have...
Entered into that stupid dual bachelor's/master's program! Ugh... I could have finished up my Master's degree a mere year after getting my bacherlor's. Ack!
2002, I would have...
Tried to clear up my credit card debt. Moving out on my own taught me a harsh lesson on proper eating and spending. Oy.
2003, I would have...
Bought a house in Baltimore! I moved in with a girl that I'm no longer friends with but this was around the time that houses in Baltimore weren't outrageous and I probably could have afforded it. I could have lived in one of the ideal neighborhoods without it costing me over $250k. Now the houses go for over $300! Dammit!
2004, I would have...
Bought shares of Google! I just saw on the news today that Google stock has increased 600% since going public in 2004. 600 freaking percent.
2005, I would have...
You know... I'm having a hard time remember this year. I'll have to update this one later.
2006, I would have...
Picked a different wedding photographer. I hate to say it and while I like our photos, I think I booked a photographer too soon without doing more research. I would have loved more candids of our guests. Let this be a lesson to you ladies getting hitched!
2007, I would have...
Purchased the fabulous stuff on sale from Old Navy and Banana Republic that are now out of stock. Dammit! This year isn't over so I can't really come up with anything better (and I'm sure some of you are surprised that I didn't write, "made my original blog anonymous" since that led to disaster but... like I said, bad things sometimes happen so that good things will. The good thing that came out of that was that I saw a side of my parents that I hadn't seen in a long time. They kicked ass with the support I needed and it meant a lot to me.).
What would you change?

If I could change on thing in 2007, it would be that you would have posted a photo for us to compare your Janet-ish haircut! :)
Let's see -- here are just a few in my life:
1986 - I would have never voted "yes" for Debbie Rettorath to join the varsity cheerleading squad. She ended up being the biggest pain in the ass!
1987 - I would have said "yes" when Todd Achenbach asked me to homecoming my senior year. I ended up going with a friend who ended up leaving with another girl.
1995 - I would have gotten out of the Navy like I had planned and not gotten sucked into the vortex of reenlistment for an awesome refresher Russian school.
2007 - I would have regretted getting out of the Navy in 1995 because now I wouldn't be 9 months away from retiring from the Navy after 20 years and receiving that retirement check for the rest of my life.
