Anywho - there is lots to talk about but today's post is going to be about meeting Tim Gunn. I was super stoked when I heard that he was going to be at the Baltimore Book Festival and was prepared to stand in line all freaking day to have a chance to meet him. I was slightly worried that Mr. Gunn was going to be an a-hole but not because he seems like that on TV or anything. But you know how it goes... some people seem SO awesome but then you read stories about how they're really douchebags and its quite upsetting.
Tim Gunn is everything like he is on television. He looks EXACTLY the same, says the same phrases, has the same mannerisms and couldn't possibly be any nicer. There was quite a crowd to listen to him discuss his book (which I purchased a copy of and started reading. If you love TG, then I suggest you buy it. You can practically hear his voice in your head as you read it).
As he was coming to the stage to start his discussion, tons of fans stopped him to chat. Instead of breezing right by them, he stopped, shook hands, chatted, took pics and signed books. The event coordinator had to pull him away!
He's a great speaker and I really cannot possibly gush any more. I happily stood in line for an hour to meet him!
*Updated with Pictures!*
The crowd before Tim Gunn arrives. It was PACKED. And it was painfully obvious that some ladies overdressed... as though Tim was going to openly judge them.

Look at him! Does he not look like the nicest man ever? And exactly the same in person as he is on TV:

Tim speaking about the book, and Project Runway and his new show.

Tim is signing my book!

Me and Tim Gunn. He was so nice. I felt like such a dork because I wanted to be uber clever and say something but all I could say was, "uh... I saw you on Martha the other day!" and he replied, "oh, I just LOVE her." and I yelled, "me too!!"

And my book:

I love him!
